HCC Guest: Simon Fisher-Becker

It is a great thrill to welcome convention legend, Simon Fisher-Becker to Hull Comic Con 2021

 

Simon has three iconic roles to his name, and will bring a smile to fans from across the genre. In Doctor Who, Simon played charismatic black market wheeler dealer and galactic gossip, Dorium Maldovar. Dorium was in three episodes of Matt Smiths run as the Doctor between 2010 and 2011.

 

Simon is also one of the Hogwarts ghosts in Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone. As the Fat Friar, Simon brought to life (or death), the lovable Hufflepuff Ghost. Away from the screen, Simon also has the honour of being the official Fat Controller for Thomas the Tank Engine. For ten years Simon travelled the world as Sir Topham Hatt, including the opening of the Thomas the Tank Engine theme park in Japan.
