Learn about Tolkien’s Hull connections at Hull Comic Con 2016!

It’s official! – Tolkien convalesced during the Great War on the University of Hull campus (in the building shown above!). Meet Phil Mathison, author of Tolkien in East Yorkshire 1917 - 1918, assisted by local Tolkien expert, Michael Flowers, at Hull Comic Con 2016 to learn more about Hull’s remarkable connection to the world-famous author of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.
There will be a talk and a display on the subject of Tolkien’s connections to the area, and Phil and Michael will be on hand all day to chat to and find out more!
